Athlete Performance at CrossFit South Wake…where you get ahead of the competition!

With science, passion and experience we work to instill toughness and develop character and maturity in our athletes. We believe in training for achieving a long-term goal, not just simply working out to look good. Each session is a long-term investment, in their development.

Performance is athletics and competition, and those two are intertwined with imperfection and the journey to personal greatness. Training athletes to perform well at their worst, not just when conditions and situations are ideal is what wins games, earns scholarships and inspires others to lead productive lives. We train to be an asset and quality individual to our team. We believe in training every athlete that walks through our door, to accept the challenge of improving their weaknesses and enhancing their strengths. We work to push past any per-conceive physical/mental barriers and instill confidence that the athlete can carry with them in competition and life.

Schedule Description

Mondays and Wednesdays
Beast & Warrior: 6:30-7:45pm
Warrior & Savage: 5:00 – 6:15pm

Saturdays (*EXTRA WORK* & In-season athletes)
Beast & Warrior: 9:15 – 10:30am

Total 20-22 sessions per month

Advanced Athlete Mornings (Summer only)

Savage (ages 10 to 13)

Focused on Calisthenics, training proper movement patterns for sprinting, jumping and agility. Strengthening the core, major joints, grip and posterior chain are also consistently worked into the programming to give the athletes a solid foundation for athletics. Building their work capacity and efficiency, so they can think clearly to make plays in crunch time is our goal. Being in optimal shape with full body confidence.

Warrior (ages 13 to 15)

Focused Primarily: Learning of the basic lifts in relation to their sport with odd and unilateral, posterior and core focus. More agility, jumping and speed work incorporated. A high motor work ethic is the emphasis after foundation is set. Athlete’s in this group develop into very tough and tenacious competitors, that are confident in their skill and technique because of their solid training.

Beast (ages 16+)

Focused Primarily: BEAST – Reserved for the disciplined, committed and well-trained athlete. Alot more programming freedom and customization for athlete’s specific needs. Goal is to develop a lean, powerful, versatile, physical and tenacious athlete to excel in their chosen sport(s). Training Sessions will develop to test physical and mental limits in preparation of season. Programming and training consist of elements of powerlifting, calisthenics, Olympic lifting and strongman. Basic performance objectives of acceleration, max velocity, C.O.D can be implemented in drills that directly apply to the athlete’s sport/position.

Titan (ages 17+)

Focused Primarily: Athlete’s that just want to lift and learn to be as strong, powerful and healthy as possible. Consistency, commitment and self-discipline will determine your results.
